First Assignment:

Leave the building and take a picture of what education looks like today for you (30 minutes allotted time).

In the pursuit of a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography at The New School University I had to go back to my undergraduate school of New York University.

This idea of "free education" and "student loan forgiveness" in the U.S. today is an interesting debate primarily held between two classes. The contention is divided by those who can pay to play and players who play for free. As Bob Marley sang, "some people have ways and means and some have hopes and dreams". I'm also exploring the idea of access and who has access to institutions such as universities and banks garnered on algorithms, credit scores and career profiles.

What is the value of an education to you? What are your values? Why was it illegal to teach a "Black" person how to read? What is the goal of education? (jude Lives)
