Can't Collectors

I love the work ethic of the serious "can collector"; in New York City especially the senior Asian ladies whom are amongst a diverse group of city dwellers who keep the city clean and the world a little greener. These individuals or collectives are serious about their business. I've referred to these recyclers as can collectors because that appears to be the most popular object of desire but to this fragmented group of city dwellers for gold it includes plastic and glass bottles. As I write and try to imagine a more appropriate title for these perhaps unintentional dealers of wasted goods are making good deeds and should have more respect on their name. What came to mind was "Can't Collector"; because I think one collects cans because society said, "you can't but what you can do is collect cans". The can collection business is a product of a society that treats hyper excessive waste as a non-issue and some human trash that will litter in front of their children but I digress.
